I’ve never waited to buff. Use an abrasive detergent and a steel wool for any substance that is stuck on. I assume the heat cycle might remove them. But the rinsing process compromises them all, so the stencil edges are no longer sealed well enough to contain the Rub ‘n Buff, whether using Con-Tact paper or regular vinyl.
